      Ingredients

      • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
      • ¼ cup mayonnaise
      • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
      • 3 cloves garlic, minced
      • ¼ cup finely chopped fresh basil
      • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
      • ½ teaspoon sea salt
      • 1 (14-ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
      • 2 cups raw spinach, roughly chopped
      • 1 cup grated Mozzarella cheese
      • Crostini, crackers or corn chips, for serving

      Method

      1. Preheat the oven to 350°F with a rack in the center position.

      2. In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, parmesan, garlic, basil, garlic powder, salt, artichoke hearts, spinach, and ½ cup of the mozzarella.

      3. Add the mixture in an even layer to an ovenproof skillet or an 8 x 8-inch baking dish. Top with the remaining ½ cup mozzarella and bake for about 30 minutes, or until the cheese is lightly browned and is beginning to bubble.

How far in advance can you make the dip before putting it in the oven?

24 hours should be fine! let it sit out for 10-15 minutes before putting it in the oven. Hope you enjoy!

      • Erin

Can you substitute cream cheese for the mayonnaise?

We wouldn't in this recipe. They mayo helps create the smooth, spreadable consistency

      • STACEY

Could the artichoke dip be made in a crock pot instead of an oven, want to make in bulk for a wedding but do not have access to an oven?

That should work. Definitely test it before the wedding. On high for an hour or low for 2-3 should do the trick.

      • Joann

        Can I use frozen artichokes?

They might have too much moisture unless you thaw and drain them really well first.

      • Pal

Can we sub mayo for another ingredient? Thanks!

You can try sour cream instead! Hope you enjoy.

      • Carol

DO YOU USE MARINATED ARTICHOKE HEARTS?

We usually just get artichoke hearts that are canned or jarred in brine.

      • Tanya

Bringing to a pool party and want to have the dip available in a crock pot. The mozzarella topping wouldn't work, should I put the whole cup into the dip? Thanks

Yes, jus incorporate it, that will be fine. Hope you enjoy!

      • Loreen

Can you also do it with frozen spinach?

We haven't used frozen before but it should work fine. Hope you enjoy Loreen!

      • Mina

Do you cook the spinach first??

Hi Mina, no. You will use raw spinach, it cooks in the dip.

      • Anna

Can this be assembled the night before and baked the next day??

        Absolutely!

Just made this for dinner and it was amazing. Better than anything we could've gotten at a restaurant. Plenty left over for tomorrow, and looks like it will warm up great.

Thanks Chet, we are so glad you loved it!

I made this for my family Christmas get together and it was so good! Everyone loved it and it was gone so fast. It was also so fast and easy to throw together. I made it the night before and then just baked it when we were ready to eat it.

        So glad everyone loved it!

Made this as a side to dinner on a cold, rainy day. It was quick, easy, and everyone loved it. I did make a slight change by reducing the artichoke content to half of what the recipe calls out.

        great! Glad you loved it!
