    Roll out the red carpet

There are so many fun and interesting movies up for Academy Awards this year! I will definitely be tuning in on March 15th, and rooting for my faves. (Marty Supreme, anyone?!) I love an excuse to get glam with my friends and whip up slightly deluxe snacks and drinks, and there’s nothing quite like the Oscars to bring us together!

It’s a great day for sequin everything and fancy nibbles like crab dip and shrimp cocktail, flowing bubbly or bubbly cocktails like a classic, crisp, French 75. Even though the night feels like a great one for getting fancy, I find that we always feel really comfortable, too. Vibe-wise, I tend to think of our Oscar party menu vibe as like Super Bowl-level chill, but make it Hollywood glam! While we watch the red carpet (almost better than the actual Oscars?!) I keep the drinks flowing, and a steady stream of appetizers coming out of my kitchen.

It is my honor to present the nominees for the 2026 Oscar Party menu!

    French 75

French 75 cocktails served in glasses with lemon twist garnishes, sparkling and ready to enjoy, perfect for entertaining

Fizzy, tart and pretty, a French 75 is THE Oscar night cocktail as far as I’m concerned.

    Paper Plane

a paper plane cocktail in a coupe glass with a small paper airplane attached to the side of the glass

The paper plane is a classic cocktail that really makes me think of the golden age of Hollywood. It’s a pretty color, and a lot of folks haven't had one before so you’ll get that fun discovery element when you offer one to your friends.

    Shrimp Cocktail

steamed shrimp on a serving platter with ice and a bowl of homemade cocktail sauce served with lemon wedges

I bet there’s shrimp cocktail at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, and there’s definitely always a big shrimp cocktail at my only slightly-less exclusive Oscar party.

    Marinated Olives and Cheese

a bowl of green olives and diced Gruyère marinated in garlic, orange, rosemary, peppercorn, dried chili and olive oil

You can make this ahead of time, so this is a great one to have out when people arrive. I love the addition of the cheese to make it a little bit of a heartier finger food than just olives.

    Deviled Eggs

a plate of homemade deviled eggs sprinkled with paprika and chives

Like the paper plane cocktail, these feel 1950s Hollywood to me! I bet the deviled eggs at the Chateau Marmont are almost as delicious as mine.

    Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

bacon wrapped asparagus on a plate

Asparagus just feels elegant; to eat, to serve, to wrap in bacon. There aren’t many veggies that are meant to be eaten as finger food, but this is one of them! Just make sure to make a lot — it always goes fast!

    Crab Dip

Hot crab dip with old bay seasoning served with crackers and raw vegetables. A great party appetizer.

Nothing is quite as luxe as serving crab dip! With big lumps of fresh crab, it's an indulgence that ensures your Oscar party becomes THE Oscar party. Serve it hot, all bubbly and cheesy, with big hunks of crusty bread for dipping.

    Classic Fudgy Brownies

a plate of classic fudge brownies cut into squares, the ultimate cozy chocolatey dessert

You don't have to go wild with dessert, but I usually bake brownies the day before so we have a little sweet bite for the folks with a sweet tooth. Plus, they make the kids happy which makes the parents happy!
