Teriyaki Sauce

Ingredients
- ¾ cup low-sodium soy sauce or tamari
- ⅓ cup honey
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili paste, such as sambal oelek
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (from 1 lime)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Method
In a small saucepan, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, chili paste and lime juice. Bring the sauce to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring frequently, about 5 minutes.
In a small bowl, stir the cornstarch into ¼ cup water. Stir in the cornstarch mixture and simmer until thickened, about 2 minutes more.
