Roasted Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 1 pound asparagus, ends trimmed
  • 1 ½ tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt, plus more for serving
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F with a rack in the center position. 
  2. Place the asparagus on a rimmed sheet pan or in a baking dish. Drizzle with the olive oil, and sprinkle all over with the salt, and pepper. Spread into a single layer.
  3. Roast, 10 to 12 minutes, or until the vegetables are browned and tender. 
  4. Season with additional salt, if desired. Serve warm.
