  • ½ tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1½ teaspoons white sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 10 dried chili peppers
  • 1 teaspoon szechuan peppercorns
  • 1 medium green cabbage, core removed, cut into 2-inch pieces
