Homemade Taco Seasoning in a small glass jar
  • Serves: 8
  • Prep Time:  2 min
  • Cook Time:  0 min

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • ½ tbsp black pepper

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl, stir to combine. Store for up to 6 months in a tightly sealed container. Yield: about 1/2 cup of seasoning.

**Most taco seasoning packets have 2-3 tablespoons of seasoning in them. To sub this taco seasoning mix for a store bought packet, simply brown your ground meat, drain off any fat and sprinkle on 2-3 tablespoons of the homemade taco seasoning per pound of ground meat, mix to combine.
