Garlic Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil or butter
  • 3 to 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper, plus more to taste

Method

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the green beans and cook until slightly tender and bright green, about 3 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water for about 2 minutes.
  2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is glistening, add the drained green beans and garlic and cook, stirring often, until the garlic is golden brown, about 2 minutes. Season with the salt and pepper and cook, stirring, about 1 minute more.
