Crispy Ground Beef Tacos
- Serves: 4
- Prep Time: 5 min
- Cook Time: 25 min
Ingredients
- 1 pound 80/20 ground beef
- 2 tablespoons Taco Seasoning, homemade or store-bought
- Vegetable oil
For Serving
- 8 (6-inch) flour tortillas
- Shredded iceberg lettuce, (optional)
- Shredded cheddar cheese, (optional)
- Sour cream, (optional)
- Cilantro leaves, (optional)
- Pico de gallo, (optional)
- Salsa, (optional)
Method
Place the beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until browned, about 8 minutes. Add the taco seasoning and 1 tablespoon water and cook, stirring often, until thickened and bubbly. Remove the skillet from the heat.
Meanwhile, in a medium skillet, add ΒΌ-inch of vegetable oil over medium heat. Once the oil is glistening, add one tortilla and cook undisturbed until golden brown, about 1 minute. Flip and repeat on the other side. Transfer the tortilla to a paper-towel lined plate. Continue with remaining tortillas, adding oil as needed.
Divide the beef evenly among the tortillas. Top with desired amount of shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, sour cream, cilantro, pico de gallo and salsa, if using.
