Cream Cheese Shrimp Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup hot horseradish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest, (from 1 lemon)
  • 1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese
  • ¾ pound cooked bay shrimp
  • Crackers, such as Triscuits, for serving
  • Celery sticks, for serving

Method

  1. In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire, Dijon, Tabasco, apple sauce, and lemon zest until smooth. Set aside. 
  2. Press the cream cheese block onto a plate or platter, spreading it into an even layer with the back of the spoon until ½-inch thick. Evenly pour the cocktail sauce over the cream cheese and top with shrimp. 
  3. Serve with crackers and celery for dipping.
