Brown Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown rice, rinsed
  • 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

Method

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over high heat. Stir in the rice, olive oil, and sea salt. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook until the liquid has been absorbed, about 40 minutes.

  2. Turn off the heat. Remove the lid and fluff the rice using a fork. Cover and let sit for another 10 minutes before serving.
