Best Baked Potato Recipe

Ingredients
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 4 tablespoons salted butter
- sea salt, to taste
- freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Method
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Wash potatoes with a stiff brush, removing any excess dirt and pat dry. Using a fork poke each potato 8-12 times going 1-inch deep all over the potato. Brush potatoes lightly with oil.
Bake the potatoes directly on a rack, in the middle of the oven. We recommend setting a baking sheet on the lower rack of the oven to catch any liquid that might drip out of the potatoes.
Bake until the potatoes are tender all the way through, about 1 hour. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool for 5 minutes.
Serve by cutting a line end to end and then squeezing one end towards the other. Top with butter, salt and pepper.
Note: The more potatoes you use the more cook time you’ll need. If using more than 4 potatoes, you may need to increase the cook time by 10 minutes.
