Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Ingredients
- 1 pound asparagus spears, ends trimmed
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 10 ounces thin bacon (about 8 strips)
Method
Preheat the oven to 425°F with a rack in the center position. Place a rimmed sheet pan in the oven while it preheats.
In a large bowl, toss the asparagus with the olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Divide the asparagus spears into 8 even piles. Starting about an inch from the asparagus heads, wrap the bacon tightly around each bundle.
Carefully remove the sheet pan from the oven. Arrange the bundles on the sheet so that they aren’t touching.
Roast until the bacon is crispy and the asparagus is tender, about 25 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
