Asian Chopped Salad with Hoisin Marinated Pork Kabab
- Serves: 4
- Prep Time: 15 min
- Cook Time: 15 min
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds pork tenderloin, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 cup hoisin sauce, plus more for serving
- 1 bag Taylor farms Asian chopped salad kit
- 1 red bell pepper, julienned
- 1 green bell pepper, julienned
- 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds, for serving (optional)
Method
Preheat the grill on high (see Note).
Make the pork. Add the pork and ¾ cup hoisin sauce to a medium bowl and toss until the pork is coated.
Tightly thread the pork onto 4 skewers, dividing evenly. Place the skewers on the grill and cook without moving them for 4 minutes. Flip and continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 145°F on an instant-read thermometer and is slightly charred, about 4 more minutes. Transfer the pork to a plate. Using a pastry brush, brush the pork with the remaining ¼ cup of hoisin sauce.
Meanwhile, prepare the salad. In a large bowl, toss the salad mix with ⅔ of the dressing packet. Divide the salad onto 4 plates. Top with the bell peppers and pork skewers, dividing evenly.
Garnish with sesame seeds (if using) and drizzle the pork with the remaining ⅓ packet of dressing and additional hoisin sauce if desired.
Note: A grill pan is a great indoor alternative to a grill. Use it over high heat on your stovetop—just note that it won’t take quite as long to heat up as the grill, so no need to worry about it until after your skewers are threaded and ready. Brush it with some olive oil to avoid sticking.
